Jimny colours: Rock Grey, Jungle Green, Chiffon and the rest

Jimny colour availability is not like ordering a normal car — you take what has landed. Here is what the colours actually are and which ones hold value.

Why colour is a bigger deal than usual

On a mainstream car you specify a colour and wait. On an imported Jimny you are choosing from what is physically here, because the supply is whatever has been sourced and registered.

That means colour is often the thing that decides which car you buy, rather than an afterthought — and it is worth knowing which ones people actually want.

The colours you will see

Rock Grey

Probably the definitive modern Jimny colour, and the most common in our stock. A flat, slightly military grey that suits the shape and hides the inevitable green-lane dirt. Broad appeal, easy resale.

Jungle Green

The enthusiast’s choice. Deeper and more olive than photographs suggest, and it looks superb with black arches and wheels. Narrower buyer pool than Rock Grey, but the people who want it really want it.

Chiffon Ivory / Chiffon Beige

The cream. Divisive in photos, widely loved in person, and increasingly the one people ask for by name. Shows dirt less than white and gives the car a period, utilitarian look.

Kinetic Yellow

Loud and brilliant, and the colour that gets photographed most. Smallest buyer pool of the lot — buy it because you love it, not as a resale play.

Black and Pearlescent White

The safe pair. Easiest to sell, hardest to keep clean. Black in particular looks excellent on a Stage One car with the arches and wheels, and terrible three days after a green lane.

Superior White / Silver

Common on earlier cars. Understated, easy to live with and well suited to owners who prefer a simpler finish.

Two-tone roofs

Several colours are offered with a contrasting black roof. It suits the boxy shape and is generally worth having — it costs little and the market likes it.

Which hold value

Broadly: Rock Grey and Black sell fastest, Jungle Green and Chiffon command a premium with the right buyer but take longer to find them, and Kinetic Yellow is a heart purchase.

None of them lose money the way an ordinary car’s colour choice can, because the whole market is supply-constrained. Buy the one you want.
